Wow...

It is pretty interesting to see how involved we are about blogging and moodling. I find it quite hard at times because I run out of things to write. I can't believe we are done with the writing stages! This semester is going by so fast. I hope that we all meet the requirements to pass the class. A word of advice, "Don't give up, don't give in, and proceed to succeed"

I was not able to present my quote on Thursday. Hopefully, I will be able to present on Tuesday before the test. I wonder what the test will cover? I know for a fact the test will ask us about CLUESS and COPS. We will just have to wait and see. See you guys on Tuesday.

Oh classmates don't forget that we have a test coming up soon. It's time to study. Andrea call me so I can free my day.

Well, Thursday I was about to head to class right after work. I was even a mess, because I didn't have time to fix myself up, and I had to drop my sister to work. Well passing McDonalds in Harmon, Andrea called me and said there was online classes, and I felt stupid and took a U-turn back home. Then the funny thing was that Ro called me and told me that it's moodle, because she always reminds me and I told her the story of how I was on my way to class.
Well, I did my Moodle, but it was pretty hard, becasue I had a little disagreement about life choices with my uncle, and so I slept over at my mother's house where there is no internet. I am still here at the moment, but I have to go outside the house to try and steal internet.

Hey my people of EN 100. Hope all is going well with you. I hope you all are not having problems in and out of school. Anybody ready for a test on all the lessons we have learned lately? Shoot, I still need to work out some kinks on annotating things, such as "topic sentences" and "supportive sentences." I still can't quite get it, but I'm working on it.

Been a while

Whats up my fellow classmates? It's been a while since I last blogged. Anyway, I can't believe we are nearly complete with the basic "Writing Process". To think we only started a few months ago, but I learned how to get a better form of how to write my essays. I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait till this course is finished, so hopefully I can produce more professional writing assignments.

No one really knows this but I came to class on Thursday thinking that we had class and a test. The funny story is that I came to the classroom at four and no one was in there, so I just thought it was at four-thirty, so I just went around doing things to kill time and I bumped into Rojelio, and he told me that there was class online today instead of a face-to-face class session. Well, I hated myself just for a second right on the spot but I guess that is what I get for not looking at my class dates,

Well... It is Saturday today and I am at my friends house doing my blogs and everything else that is required to be done. I do not know if the week actually extends to Saturday's however I just hope I pass this semester! And I hope everybody passes in our class also. Anyway I'll see you all on Tuesday and can anybody comment me telling me when the test is?

Starting over.

Last night I posted a blog, but I dont seem to see it now that I am looking to see if anyone commented. How odd, I didnt think I wrote anything wrong in it, so why don't I see it? Weird. Anyway I just came to the computer center to finish up my about me essay. It wouldnt open on my cousins laptop or even mine so here I am at school doing what I need to do.

Through out life I've always tend to learn things the hard way. I am so stingy that I have to do it the way I want to or I wont do anything at all. So I guess I am struggling right now and well I am just trying to get back up and face the "world" myself. I am 19 years old and I don't really feel independent. Oh, I long for that feeling dont get me wrong. Now that I've got to get things straight and I want to start my life all over again but this time try harder and don't give up. :)

How is everyones day going so far. As for me I am still not feeling well today. I am glad that today is moodle session that way I wouldn't have to miss class today. Well today we talked about the different stages of the writing process and how it is resourceful. I think that the different stages are really resourceful in writing an essay. The writing process is very important when conducting an essay. Its a three step program that helps a writer organize and freely express his or hers ideas correctly on the paper. It's a process of freewriting, brainstorming,gathering, revising, and editing. By following this guideline, a writer's paper is neat and the information gathered is properly placed on the paper. This is important especially for college students who are learning the correct way to write a paragraph or an essay.

Well, last class I came just in time, so I did not get any deductions in my grades, which was lucky for me. We got out of class early, and I enjoyed the free time I had on my hands. We'll see you all in class!

basic paragraph patterns I've learned today, Pattern A- has a topic sentence, support, support,

Who would have thought it...

I really enjoyed the class we had on Thursday. It was really fun and interesting. I noticed how everyone had a different view on correcting a paper. Everyone had their own opinion on how a sentence should be written. This is quite interesting, because we are all learning the same material. Even how everyone writes a paper; I find it quite cool that everybody's personality comes out in their work.

The day is near....

My presentation for my quote is coming up and I am nervous. I won't be doing anything fancy. I really hope it goes smooth and easy. I also pray that everyone understands the point I will try to make. Cross your fingers for me.

Excited!

Even though I am not going to the concert tonight I think my weekend is going to be just fine. I am almost finish with my "All About Me" essay. I am always having to edit and revise errors here and there, but this is an English class, right? I hope it will turn out as a good paper and get a good grade but since I have a feeling I am going to get a low grade. I'm really trying to get the hang of going online, but I tend to get distracted with other things like work, family, and friends.
Well, today I went hiking with Rowena and her boyfriend. It was fun if you were wondering. Tonight I think we are going to hang out again, but right now I am trying to rest since I didn't sleep till 2 in the morning. So I am going to take a long nap now.

Loving the life I live!

I learned that English class is a very important class for college because in all my classes I always have to write a paper. Having En100, it reminds me what I need to do to turn in a good paper. Today we had computer session, and I miss seeing my wonderful classmates. Today we talked about Stage 3, the final stage. I also had time to email my "About Me" essay. I prefer to go to class than going online because I love school and I also need to see people in my age group instead of little children or older adults.

Hello Classmates!

Today is a very hectic day. I worked in the morning and didn't get off till three o'clock. I had to rush all the way down to my house just to shower and get ready for school. I felt so bad because I was really red and jumpy. I looked like a crazy person whose hair was all over the place, and my face was red as an apple. Wow!!

Hello to everyone!! Wow, outlining? Wasn't that fun? I thought it was neat how we learned that there are different names for outlining. To me I just thought an outline was just a outline, but finding out that there are name for the different types of outlines was cool. Now that I know and understand it I can really put it to use in my papers and also understand what type of paper I could be writing. Well that was my take on the lesson on Thursday! In my opinion, I think that in order for one's ability to grow or excel in any interest, one must be comfortable in the learning environment or be surrounded by people who have the same goals or occupation. For example, one who wants to learn fishing must go with someone who knows how to fish.

Outlining...

In class we learned different types of outlining. We did the exercise which I thought was quite fun and interesting. Out of all the types of outlining, I found exemplification the most enjoyable because if I were to do an outline I would most likely put it in that format. I also think analysis by division is the easiest one to do, because it can be only used to show how to make/do things. These are just some of my thoughts on outlining.

Well today, I was late once again for class. This is the second time I am I've gone to class. Surprisingly I am not that lost. I am really liking this class. Today we read about "Organizing Support". Pretty easy and understanding. Now we are brain storming about our next exercise. I just had a brain fart. I don't know what to write about. I have so much on my mind that is probably why. I am confused, sad, tired, drained, worried, impatient, lazy, excited, moody, and cramped with so much things I have to get done. So I am guessing that means that I am confused. I have gone through a lot in the past. Now that just gave me an idea of something to write about. Something that actually is true about my life. Something that happened recently. I hope we get to write more about it because I'd like to take it all out on paper.

Hey guys,
Well I did a big no-no this past week, I accidentally posted a new discussion topic on our very own moodle room which I was not suppose to do; my bad. So, that's something that I need to work on, I know that I didn't do it the same last time but for some reason I guess I did it by accident; please forgive me! Today in class Dr.Rivera came late and I thought we would all be going home to our sweet beds, but she came and sure enough I found out I would be attending class on another work day.

Today in class we are covering the book, we had already gone through some blogger tips to let us drop our slang and bad punctuation, as well as our grammer. The chapter that we will be reading and going over is Chapter 3- The Writing Process : Stage Two. I hope everyone follows through with the discussion and learns something out of it.

Hey everyone!! Well I'm so glad that I'm done revising my essay and e-mailed it. That's a weight off my shoulders. I'm really confused in turning and receiving the essays, but hopefully after this essay is done and graded, I'll get the hang of it. Also, learning about the second stage was kind of neat. I really didn't pay attention to the controlling idea, but knowing now that it can catch the readers attention really puts it into perspective for me, and I'm going to watch out and make sure that I make it interesting. Even the outlining and clustering, I think it's cool, because it shows what you're trying to get at in your essay. Well anyways, I hope to see everyone in class on Thursday!!

Blogging-the internet and the english subjects' best friend...

Man I wish blogging were easy to keep up with. It's too bad that I don't have a computer or any money to either get one or go to G3 and use the internet there. While I'm on my break at work I wish that I could utilize my time more wisely by getting somehomework done, if it has to be over the internet. Going to school only two days out of the week doesn't really give you any windows of opportunity to use it when necessary at any time of the day. So I occupy the computer every chance that I get at school to fulfill my homework obligations. Then we also have the moodle sessions to do and sometimes I can not even get into the correct websites in order for me to get my homework or blogging sessions done on time. Well, enough about all the problems let's mention about the fact that the moodle sessions and blogging are a great help to those too busy to even catch their breathe and relax. Thanks to Dr. Rivera for this moodle session. I truly believe that it's a great help for me personally with keeping my life less chaotic than it really needs to be.

Wow!! That essay was kinda hard for me. There was so much things I wanted to write about and it was hard just making it two pages, but i manage to do so.
The writing stages really helped though.

Free-writing. This type of writing is really interesting. It can tell a lot about the author. It can show what he/she is feeling or thinking about. Basically it's talking to yourself in writing. Whoa, that's kinda creepy...

First blog for the 2nd week

How's it going guys? Did any of you have any problems with the "All About Me Essay?" Writing that essay made me look at myself, and reminisce of the good old days.

My first time.

This is my first time to post a blog. I really don't know what to write. Well, until now I haven't submitted my all about me essay. It is not that I did not do it. I just didn't have enough time to edit my work and submit it on time. I know that it is already considered as one absence.

I enjoy freewriting

Freewriting is fun, but it can get pretty messy. My handwriting gets all crazy looking. Some words I can hardly make out, or let alone read. I guess when I freewrite I tend to write faster than usual. I hope everyone enjoyed freewriting as much as I did.

2nd Week

Well even though I left early on Tuesday, with reading the reading material I think that stage one is really useful. With freewriting, brainstorming, and clustering i really think that it can make it so much better. I love to free write more better then have a topic given to me so when stage on allows you to freewrite im all for it.

Moodle Doodle Day......

Today is our second Moodle Session and we discussed about the importance of Stage One Strategies. I found it is really interesting that everyone has their different opinions about Stage One Strategies and it's importance. Don't forget that Tuesday is another Moodle Session and that we don't meet as a class.

Well today is another moodle day for En 100. Our "About Me" essays we're also due today. I wasn't sure if we were suppose to post it in moodle and attatch it and email it to Dr. Rivera or just put it on the moodle page so I did both. Well I miss class on Tuesday because I had D.I. training for my work, and is thankful today class was held online because then I would have a tottal of maybe four absences. First day in En100-10

I was about five minutes late and I already felt like I missed out on a lot. Coming into class starting out interesting. I already knew three students from high school and also classmates from last semester. This semester English feels really different. I actually thought it was going to be the same as what we did in EN-100. I guessed wrong. It was more hands on and doing your work online such as blogs. I thought it was pretty interesting. I enjoy doing things online, especially typing out long essays instead of writing them on paper. I have a pretty good feeling about this class. I believe I do better when I can use the computer. Im so happy that my century has internet. :)

Heeey everyone, andrea here. Well this is actually my second blog of the week but I am some what confused with this whole thing. In my first blog i stated that hands on things & going online to do work would be so much easier, well I believe I was wrong. It's actually harder than I thought it would have been. Having to do the work with out being able to ask our instructors upfront is different to me. I like it, but then again I'd rather be in the class doing this at the same time and if i needed help, i would have a teacher. :) ha.

Well anyways. I missed last class. =( and I was so confused on the last assignment that we had to do online. I had no idea we were going to get e-mails on our assignments!!!
Well i will be sure to go to class next time & ask as many questions before I get anymore confused. =P

Early Bird

Hey there everyone,

I just finished typing and responding to the moodle assignment and I am very tired as of right now. It is 1:43 in the morning, I am drained from a long day of work and just want to fall into a beautiful fluffy elephant shaped pillow. Last class I really enjoyed the activity, I took it serious and let my ideas flow freely and my paper turned out better than I thought it would. I hope that everyone is adjusting to their classes and the college life so far. As for me everything has been a difficult leanring experience that I have a long road ahead to finish. 1st blog ^_^

This is my first time blogging in this. I'm still trying to get you to this blogging and moodle thing. I've never done this for a class but it seems pretty interesting. I went to my first class yesterday which was at the computer lab and finally got to meet my classmates. So to everyone in class HI my names Rogelio [Ro-hel-lio] once again. Anyway in class we just learned about the writing process and did some freewriting. Thats it for now, I need to finish my all about me essay ^_^

I try and think of things to blog about, I keep trying to tell myself that this is somewhat like Myspace. The class seems really active in class discussions and through class participation. I am really anxious to get to know my classmates on a academic level of course. Many of my classmates are really awesome! I have found some classmates to be some kind of awesome, with that natural high going. I really am having a god time in class. Today though was a bit hard on me, for everyone heard my free-writing essay today. I heard some essays today, Mr.A's and Dan's, and mine.. Thats all for now.

Today we went over The different stages of The Writing Process. I believe using these different stages really helps a person when they are trying to write a paper or story. Today we also got to choose a number for our quotes.

Missed the moodle

Hey everyone,
This is Rowena, I can't believe I have my first absence this semester and it was over a moodle session. Sadly to say I was too busy to even find a computer and log in for five minutes. But, it's okay because I know now that I should never miss a session because it affects my grade dramatically.
This weekend was very busy for me, I was basically on the road most of the time trying to track down all my W2 forms so I can file my taxes; stressful. So far everything has been okay, hectic but I'm managing. I hope that the week does not affect my attendance or my performance in class. Extremely excited to finish this semester the right way, I know it's so far ahead to say this but I can't wait. Hope that everyone is enjoying everything so far, peace and hope all is well with you.

1st of the week

This is my first blog of this week. I was suppose to do this in class today because we're meeting at the Lab, but since I have nothing to do at the moment I might as well do it now. Last Thursday we met online at Moodle. It was very interesting and I'm starting to get a hang of this blogging and moddling stuff. At first I was kind of worried because I didn't have a clue on what to do, but now that I'm getting it use to it; its fun! Well see you all in class today!

Class is going good, different but good.
The weekend was fun. I had a lot of things to do but it kept me busy.
Wow, the essay is due this week. I'm glad I'm almost done.

Second blog

So we have an essay due next week. Well I have started on it, but I am not quite done. I still have some corrections to do. Hopefully mine is okay because I kind of suck in writing essays. So everyone do not laugh when mine is kind of lame okay. Well see you all on Tuesday!

My first blog of the week

Ok, well on thursday we did not get to meet up, which sucks. So we had the moodle online session. At first when I did that, it was confusing because I did not know how to do anything. After a while it started to get easier. Hopefully when we have our next moodle session, it would be less complicated for me.
